Depuis 3 jours les principaux modèles de prévisions indiquent que l'onde qui se situe actuellement au sud sud-ouest du Cap-Vert va progressivement se renforcer pour devenir une tempête tropicale quand elle va couper Les Petites Antilles autour de mercredi 28 septembre 2016.

 Cet invest a devant lui des windshears faibles, 5 à 15 kts, une SST sup à 29 degrés et un anticyclone de haute altitude se déplace en tandem avec lui.

 Il existe à son Nord encore un peu de SAL résiduel pour la saison et il est situé proche de l'Équateur limitant ainsi sa cyclogenèse pour le moment.
